We advise you, after you have made your deposit with the Notary, to have a survey done by a registered surveyor. Eventual essential defects are usually financially compensated or repaired on the seller's account. If large essential defects are found it is possible to cancel the purchase agreement and have your deposit returned. It is of course also possible to start new negotiations in such a case. Purchaser names and instructs the surveyor. Therefore purchaser will pay for the surveyor and the handling costs (travel lift).
